Who we are

Aelfaco is a UK-based studio creating one-off hand-made garments, operating as a UK sole trader. Prices are set in GBP; where available, prices are shown and charged in your local currency. Aelfaco is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT. You can reach us at hello@aelfaco.com.

Using this site

By placing an order you confirm that you are over 18 and legally capable of entering a binding contract. Your use of this site must comply with applicable laws in England and Wales.

Pieces

Each piece is unique and hand-made. Minor variations, irregularities and subtle differences in colour and finish are part of the making process and are not defects. Sizing information is indicative; please read the description carefully before adding a piece to your bag.

Prices, VAT and payment

Prices are set in GBP and, where available, shown and charged in your local currency. Prices do not include VAT. You will not be charged VAT and Aelfaco cannot issue VAT invoices. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; full card details are not stored on Aelfaco servers.

Ordering and contract

Adding a piece to your bag does not hold it. When you begin checkout, the piece is held for you for ten minutes while you complete payment. Your order constitutes an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when an order confirmation is sent. If a piece is unavailable or a pricing error occurs, the order may be cancelled and refunded.

Shipping and delivery

Aelfaco ships from the UK. Estimated delivery timeframes and carriers are set out on the shipping page. International orders may be subject to customs duties and taxes payable by you on import.

Returns, cancellations and refunds

Each piece is one of a kind, so please choose carefully — but as a UK consumer buying online you have a fourteen-day right to cancel from the day after delivery, and a further fourteen days to return the piece. See returns for how this works. Statutory rights are not affected.

Risk and title

Risk passes to you on delivery. Title passes once payment has been received in full.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter for which liability cannot be limited under law. To the extent permitted by law, Aelfaco will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Intellectual property

All content, designs, images and trademarks on this site are owned by or licensed to Aelfaco and may not be used without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
